and that's why the mixed message of: "i'm better for you than the schmuck you're with! come to me!" and "believe me i'm not always on a serious side/midnight sex/here we are alone again" wink-wink, heaving breathing is sort of confusing! and off-putting. and if that song were written about me, i'd be like, "um. what?"
